In 2012, I came this close to meeting one of those exceptional people who lives far, far away. He was one of maybe five people I wanted to meet while I was in England.
Unfortunately, just as I was planning my trip, he was pulling the plug on the site in pursuit of the next chapter. He practically vanished, and that was the end of that.
