“I welcome the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone, and I do not let myself be guided by fear.”
It might sound cheesy, but I start every morning commute with a guided meditation that includes seven affirmations “to help [me] have a magical day.” I don’t close my eyes, but I do focus on my breathing and try observing my thoughts and feelings objectively.
It helps, too. Today was one of those days where my brain kept coming back to fight or flight mode. I was so busy, and so stressed out, a voice in my head was screaming at me to run and hide–whatever that was supposed to mean.
But thanks to the power of self-programming through my daily, quasi-meditation practice, I’m finding real value. Thanks, Jonathan Lehman.
