Quality liquor seldom gives me a hangover, so I’m still pleased to have spent the money on a handful of $12-$28 cocktails last night. That said, discovering $28 is a third of the price of the entire bottle and the following realization combined for an interesting life lesson.
Earlier in the day, I purchased a $7 download, but opted to pass on the $49 upsell, which included two books I’d like to read. My reasoning? I shouldn’t spend $49 on books I can’t read right now. Makes sense, I guess.
But then I spent $70-plus on booze with dinner. I’m not mad, but removed from both moments, it’s interesting.
